I think those Chanas are much closer in spirit to the original VW Transporter than anything sold by VW today.

I've been waiting for someone to do a Chana camper.

I saw a Chana "vulture" van last week. Are tow trucks called vultures anywhere else in the country?

Only problem is,I owned one about a year ago.It's slow,has no space upfront,is uncumfortable to drive,there is nothing between you and an accident and is very narrow.That said,it's light on fuel and carries a load well.

Except for the part - it's light on fuel. Thats how you know it's not a bus :-)
