Do you perhaps have an address? Lats & longs? Will you be willing to make a sworn statement?

I'm sure with a bit of arm-twisting we can have the Company helicopter there in no time..

Well I work for a vehicle tracking and recovery company (I'm not the guy with the Raybans in the helicopter, though).

Netstar has subcontracted a company called Stars for the physical recovery of vehicles. They operate from our premises in Midrand, with the air wing stationed at Grand Central, just across the road.

I am not sure what the policy is with the attempted recovery of non-client vehicles, but often happens that syndicates get busted for other stolen cars as well, when they actually go to recover only one (Netstar-fitted) vehicle. SA's most wanted criminal, Annanias Mathe, the only person ever who managed escape from C-Max prison, was arrested 'by accident' in 2006 by Stars' personnel when they recovered a vehicle he stole. (He is even featured in Wikipedia! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annanias_Mathe ) Those recovery guys are very much 'street-wise', and it is indeed possible that they already have surveillance on the mentioned location, or know about it.

You must understand that a commercial helicopter like a Jet Ranger flies at several thousands of Rands per hour, so I cannot guarantee that they will indeed go and look for an alleged stolen Beetle, but hell - its worth a try!
