Looking for hosting for your own website
Hi all,
I'm dipping my toe into webhosting:
http://www.lamphosting.co.za
I am trying to better the prices you pay in SA, improve on the amount of features that you get as standard as well as a "create your own" option which I'm not aware of anyone else doing.
Ideal for very small to large sites.
Let me know if any of you have a need and I can see if I can accomodate.
30 day money back guarantee.

Re: Looking for hosting for your own website
Eben, I would consider moving my existing site to your hosting if you offer better tools to build cool sites like this one.....currently using FREEOLA.

Dutch my cheapest option at R20 per month offers the following:
350MB bandwidth
25 MB disk space
5 mailboxes
Formmail script
PHP
FrontPage server extensions
1 Database (MySQL or Postgres)
Control panel
Fantastico Deluxe Scripts(Joomla! and others)

PS Fantastico De Luxe gives you a big number of scripts that can be installed with a few clicks... including forums, CMS systems even e-commerce.

Re: Looking for hosting for your own website
Hi Eben,
Have been thinking of setting up a website for the vintage bike club I belong to. Something simple - a couple of pictures, a classified section, and a monthly newsletter which currently only appears in print. I would like to manage the site and do the uploads so it would just be a matter of serting up the site and the monthly hosting. What do you think you could do this for and do you think we could get the http://www.vintagebikeclub.co.za? ?
Regards
Webster

Hi Webster
I could set something up for you yes. There is quite a few Content Management scripts available that would make this quite easy to do. That domain is still available:

Re: Looking for hosting for your own website
Eben, if I were to create a website using Joomla, would you be able to host it for me? And at what cost?
