I researched it, but their are not bringing them to SA. I bought myself the Golf 4 Trendline instead. Yesterday, in fact. To replace the Toyota... Can't have a Toyota in my stable, is for VWs only... Mind you, the little Toy-car served us well, but it is just too small.

The Golf 4 Variant is very nice, seems like their 2nd prices aren't too bad either?

Petrol, 1600. Enough to drag the two Labradors around and to do the odd airport run with luggage. Gill found it under the gumtree, we've been eyeing them for about a year or so thinking it would be a very nice replacement for the Toy-car. (That's a little 130S, not a bad little thing, by all accounts. Note: NOT a Tazz)

Just sailed through road worthy yesterday, no comments at all, except the wise-ass said we would have to replace the tyres in about 20 000km or so... Yeah, and your point is???

Anyway, I only get to see it in 2 weeks time, but Gill says it's great and in very good nic. I have photos, but well, you know, the uploading thereof... Actually, Chris, I have your pm so I'll email a pic or two. BTW, did you post that Beetle yet?

I emailed you some pics of a beetle for sale, very good condition. Maybe I got it wrong. PM me your email address to confirm and I'll send both pics of the beetle and my new golf, then if you can upload them. For some reason it's not working in Papua. That beetle looks very nice and deserves to go to a ACVW lover who will treat it right, not someone who's gonna cut it up for scrap and use the pan for a pipe car or something. Appreciate the help... send the email to my yahoo, I'm sure you have it.

Gill tried to get it insured. Naa, they said, never heard of it. Don't know that kinda Golf... So Gill, being a practical kind of gal, phone the previous owner and asks for a copy of his insurance papers, turn out to be the same insurance company. Gill faxes this lot to them and now it can be done, suddenly... This should actually be in rants, but I'm scared to start a rant thread on insurance companies, because it'll swamp the forum...
