I have really put alot of time into this setup without knowing the situation as you know from the beginning but
When you get paid to do something you enjoy to do you still put the extra effort inn

Unfortunately yes all will go
As the owner said to me he might put some of his other acvw up 4 sale local and not take it with him when he imegrates to OZ
The imegration thing came quite at a surprise and a disapointment loosing yet another one to XP especially something different to the usual acvw

you summed it up! It does look FFFFFFFFFFF GR8!
How much did this conversion set you back? Seeing that importing a turnkey motor shot up approx. 30% (OUCH!!!!) in the last two weeks, I'm thinking of getting it done localy! The whole 911 kit! Once again it looks phenomenal!!! JOB WELL DONE!!!

Thanks VW Xtreme with your fabricating skills you could do all the above your self
The most expensive at the moment will probably be the alternator fan at around R10k but if I shop around could get it probably a little cheaper
Most of the parts could be sourced or made localy except some
The imported spares are
Cam
Lifters
D/Valve springs+cromo retainers
bigger valves
CB Rods with ARP bolts
new 1835 sleeve kitt
Ratio rockers
Chromo pushrods
EMPI 009 electronic dizzy
External full flow oil pump and filter setup
Local spares
Block AS41
std crank or WBX stroker crank then fit counter balanced wieghts on and have it 8 doweld pins fitted
Heads fit bigger valves + seats
Porsche fan
RX 7 oil cooler
Twin carbs 2nd hand or build trottles with EFI Or even TURBO THE THING
Exhaust
Petrol
Impi is the man to talk to as well for motors I actualy prefer to do the transmisions all though as you can see do some ac motors this type of build you dont realy get revenue for the time you put in purely for the chalange and love
Just the fan housing alone you could put say 20 hrs in incl painting when I built buggies you charge the guys 50 Hrs so half the time it took just for the fan housing
But dont be shy to ask for advice
This build has made me actually hugry to start on my own flag buggy motor the 2.4 twinspark t4 TURBO

Thanks Dawie you 100% right lots and lots of time
Now still batling with the fan belt length a 216 is to short and a 217 to long even by playing with the shims need to look for a 217 belt that is a bit thicker than the one got now may be that will solve the problem

Hey Pierre hope you remembered the deflector plate behind the alternator? If not you are going to run into overheating problems.
