How to remove insulation..
In the C-pillar of the beetles there are wads of insulation stuff. It just helps the rust to chew up the steel. How would you get that stuff out of there without cutting the pillar??

If you plan to respray and redoing the interior a flame from a torch works, do a bit at a time and keep a bucket of water handy incase things get out of hand, it is a hard to reach area by hand and you can't get all the gunk out, but the torch gets in there no problem and you are left with a by product that will not absorb any moisture, keep wet rags on the outer body area & keep the flame away from the metal or it will warp.
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......

I got some of it out. But my thumb cut lacerated on the edge of the engine bay. 'Flippen dangerous work! I took a piece of 8mm threaded rod (1m long) and used it to punch holes in it, thinking it will be easier to get out, NOT! Still lots to get out. Thanks for the help so far.
