Not a flat four - but related!

Post by Webster »

The light was great yesterday evening, so took this pic. Built this up 16 years ago and still going strong. 2.2 911 motor, 901 dogleg box, Carrera rims. Almost done with a Karmann/Porsche - will post picture soon - also a bit radical but what the hell!.

Hi Baron,
Yup - all Porsche. 1964 356SC body. Interior original except Ricaro seats. Body stretched, flared and lowered. Vented discs on front. Who needs bumpers! Engine is a 2.2T 6 cylinder. 5 speed box. Have done over 100,000k's since mods and still going strong.

Hi Webster,

Thats a piece of history you got, can I convince you to sell it.
Wen I was a boy there was a 63 (i think) alluminium bodied one RS or RSR cant remember crusing the streets of Pretoria.
Every time I saw it I almost wetted my pants.
Having grown up in Namibia I saw a lot of the standard ones --never thought they will become so valuable one day.
cheers

I saw that 356 at least 6 years ago for the first time at Cars in the Park - loved it instantly! Communicated with the current owner a while ago, he had (what he thought to be) a Beetle Cabrio hood, but in the end we found out it was only a roof lining. Is the current owner still on this Forum?

Hi Pine,
Yup - its me Webster. I remember us meeting. I still have what I think is a Karmann convertible hood but who knows.
Its brand new and could be for a beetle convertible or a ghia.
Anyone interested?
