Aircooled VW South Africa

I want to swop my straight axle diff with an IRS diff. Is it as simple as removing my current straight axle diff and just bolt the IRS one onto the ring gear ? Is there any shimming or spacing that needs to be looked at ?

I do have the correct IRS side covers, shafts, cv's, trailing arms and bits for the conversion. Just need to swop the Diffs
