fighting to get push rods in

Post by No More Landy »

Hi Guys

I am struggeling to get my new push rod tubes amd seals to remain aligned and not push to one side even though I stertched them all a little and make sure they are dead straight when I start to pull the head down evenly.
Two of them are pushing over to one side and squeezing the new seals unevenly.

I use a socket extension of a similar dia to the tube ID and as I tighten the heads i keep the tubes lined up using the socket extension to pull the tubes true.
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......
