HI
Need advice, we built a modified type 4 but a bit of an over thought we used standard lifters, these are too heavy and bent the push rods at high RPM, i have searched far and wide and cannot find anyone that sells light weight lifters, the 914 lifters are pretty much the same as standard. Now i know of a mod that is done whereby bushes are manufactured and pressed into the lifter sleeves to run type 1 lifters but i cant find anyone that can do this? Any advice on this would be appreciated!
Thanks

Re: Type 4 Lifters
Hi
I did something similar for a 2.1 wbx conversion. Google the diameter and clearances of the casings and followers amd made my own drawings. Then went looking for a proper engineering shop to make them. Not a cheap solution bit worked out great.
Didn't find the shop myself in the end but had some assistance finding one.
Good luck
