Well after a few years off line and up a chickens bum
Got a call from a lad not to far from where I live : Is jy die Kombi man he asks
Well I had to answer yes but whats up
Turns out he had a fair decent version that had to come home with me
Meet Henry - so called as it is the previous owners name
Pity about the hack job to add water
At least the Chilli bus lives on and still has some bits of metal that will come in handy to fill them holes
For now cleaning up the shed of all the nasty bits
This will be a good one for the 2020 year that's fast approaching

Greetings to all you peeps out there
It would seem that this Lokidown and Covid business has had me slightly on the ropes
Quick little update
Had an aircooled engine that was going to go into Henry - This from our engine special dude in Villiersdorp
This was a rush deal just prior to the lockdown
Anyway progress a few months down the line when on my 3rd visit to the blasted Traffic Department to renew my license
After a 3 hr wait to get my eyes tested
Needed some destress so popped in at Arno
5 minutes later I was changed from 1600 Twin air to a 2.1 Water
This as the conversion had already been done
Now I am sure there will be some banter re this - Anyhow its all done
Drive train all sorted - brakes etc
So now - slowly sorting the rat eaten wiring loom and then hope to be blasting down the road
Wife and I thinking of a little pop up Shop - Vintage WorX

Great, think you will appreciate the extra power.
Is that the wasserbox or the inline motor?
Enjoy the ride.

As you all have certainly experienced
Many additional wires that are just dangerous
Removed what was not needed and taped the whole lot up

After some cursing managed to get the whole lot back in place
Next time will try harder to get the blasted steering wheel out
Seems he needs a little strong persuading
So after a little effort this weekend
All lights now functioning and signals all good
