I had the hood lining done and 3 attempts later I got it back but now they ran out of material so they just added on a greyish material at the back so I said no enough is enough and left it like that and after looking at it a few times it starting to grow on me.
Now the next problem I got a imported windscreen rubber and got my old panel beater to fit the windscreen. But this one has the groove to take the beading, before fitting it he put those aluminium beading's in and fitted the windscreen but just as its all done the beading keeps popping out.Any advice on how to keep the beading in place.
I called PG to fit the beading and refit the windscreen R1800 if they come to me its R2500.
I watched You Tube and they make it look so easy,I cant attempt it as I will end up with a large fist going through the windscreen with my pain level so high from my back.
Does any one know what these guys are doing wrong. All the other windows went in no problems at all .

Re: Windscreen rubbers
Your success is mostly dependent on the quality of the rubber. The rubber needs to be soft and the groove needs to grip the beading. Prior to installing into the car make sure that no part of the beading has popped out. The person applying pressure on the outside needs to continuously check that the beading is in place while the one on the inside pulls the rope. LOTS of diligence is required.

Re: Windscreen rubbers
The trick is not to get any lubrication in the grove, then you will get the bead to popout
Try to clean the grove and the bead with an Mentholated spirits, and then only lubricate the car, and not the rubber
Works for me
Hope you come right.
