Hey !! Dixon,

that really now looks smart,

wow that coulor mix suits her to a "T"

Never liked the brown, one of the reasons I sold her

She will be a excellent and proud car now.

Love It

Lekker progress there, the colours work well, I forgot that this was Herman's old Beetle, looks very good (safely away from grinder man now  )

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Looks very good!

The parting line between the colours, did you choose it to be where the chrome trim sits or the sharp contour line of the body?

To be honest I'm not sure as she doesn't have the beading anymore, it's on the line in the body.

A nice hand painted thin red or blue pin stripe to break the two colours. :D

For me, a '60's Beetle must have the trim.

We might still put trim on depends what the wife wants.

The PO closed all the holes for the trim and the radio hole, witch I did have fixed.
For the trim if need be I'll just drill new holes.

I'm very lucky that two of my beetles have their radio blanking plates untouched. That is the first thing I look for in a beetle. The next thing is the window beadings and therafter the body beadings. If those things are in place there is a good chance that the rest will be ok.
