Here is a Hazet cabinet made especially for the VW mechanics' set and other tools. They also made similar cabinets that weren't VW specific:

I have a Teng socket set of 5 through 13. Have had it for 20 years. Very good quality...I go nowhere without it. Also have a "normal" socket set...bought it 30 years ago...no name brand. The 17 and 19 sockets as well as ratchet, have been replaced with Gedore but for you run of the mill DIY guy it served me well.
@ Fig and Sean, love your tools ;-)

Wow fig you once again come through on this appreciate it a lot. Next time I must just message you and off I go.
No I think the idea is to give everyone access to all this info
The one I got is the Hazet 804 normal run of the mill toolbox and managed to pick up a couple of Spanners as well that were lying around on the shelves.
Who knows one day I might stumble on some of these special Vw ones
Thank you for sharing !!!

Good score Charles! Pawn shops are a great source for tools, but you need to spend a lot of time trawling through rubbish to find the gold.
