Hi
My name is Dietrich, from Cape Town and this is my first aircooled project.
I Picked up this 66 Notchback for next to nothing almost a year ago, but have only recently started taking it apart.

My plan is to do as much as possible myself in terms of engine and suspension and then get someone to do the body repairs for me.
Not looking to do a concourse restoration by any means, but would love to bring this car back from the grave.

The previous "repairs" consist of sheet metal pop rivited over the worst rusted spots and plenty of body putty.
I know some body repair experts can achieve miracles, but is this too far gone?
Anyone willing to suggest who I can approach to work on the body?

Awesome, welcome to the forum... hope the project goes according to plan and you keep at it.
What colour are you planning?

Thanks Tony.
Thinking pistachio ice cream green or dove blue or maybe something more radical, but wont decide until its ready for paint.
