Aircooled VW South Africa

Hi guys,

Progress happening on my Camper. Started preparing to fit a Double Din GPS Navigation system into my Dash. before I do, I need to fix up\repair windscreen wiper wiring. Can anyone else assist with what wires connect to what? Possibly previously the Wiper motor was replaced. I have 4 wires coming down from it, and then 4 wires coming from my Steering wheel stalk switch.

I will note down tonight the colour codes of all the wires, but the best I can get is.

1 continual live no matter where stalk is, off, position 1 or position 2, or:
either first position, VERY slow, or second position, same speed, neither with auto return on off

so, out of 8 wires, I only have success with 3 of them.
Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Brown= Earth
Black/gray runs from fusebox (ign on), to both wiper switch and wiper motor. Contact pins marked 53a on both.
Green from switch to wiper motor, both contacts marked 53e.
Black/yellow from switch to Wiper motor, both contacts marked 53b.
Black from switch to wiper motor, both contacts marked 53.

let me have another look.. I can see a loose hanging brown, and a spare terminal on the side of the Motor board etc.. So clearly the Earth wasn't remounted.
I'll check the other colours tonight. I can't see the numbers as per your message, but the colour codes will be great help.
