haa haa haa... I know i was quick with the Speedy, but this won't be done in time boys.. But trust me, I'll be joining you on the next one for sure.

For anyone else wanting their details, this is the same guy who did the Speedy. Etienne Abrahmse from Acre Auto Bodyworks in Goodwood (021) 591 2035. just behind the old Goodwood motors Garage. They dislike Filler and Body putty, although they di use the stuff to straighten out panels etc, they prefer replacing the dead metal. Derek has chatted to them, although I'm not sure if he's going to use them or not, but I like the work they do, and the finish is excellent quality.

Ace Panel Beaters are definitely the real deal if you are restoring a bus and want a decent job done. They are of course not cheap And don't be in any hurry. I will use them when the right bus comes along, but for rentals the guys I use work very fast and at a very reasonable cost. One gets an OK job, but I know that over time the rental kombi's will get scratched and dinged, and having a pristine paint job ruined would just upset me...

So, had a few good weekends, evenings, and done a bit. Amazed at how much work one can do, and not really much happens.. Anyway, here's a few updated Pics. Whitre walls are on, ala the Speedster, and then upholstering various panels. Time consuming, and plenty hours sniffing pattex contact.
Seats will also be done in this Beige and Royal Blue scheme. Cupboards will be being built similar to Branden's setup, but with some small changes to suit our needs.

Herman the bus was always going to have them on in the first place. Mark they are simple white rubber side walls which are fitted between the standard tyre and the rim.. There's a chap advertizing them on Gumtree, and FFR and possibly a few other places.
The rear seat\bed is the original Cock's Campers conversion, but I've just turned it around 180 degrees and shaped the wood a little better to clear the panelled side wall. I will be buying 3 thick foam sections cut the shape and sized correctly which will be upholstered beige and blue to match the front seats, and the front door panels. They will act as seat cushions, and when the bed folds forward and down, as the mattress for camping.

Finished Panels on the Interior, including window sills etc. Now waiting for cupboard wood to be cut, then will start cupboards.
