Congrats man, that is a very cool project bus :hangloose:

Looks like the original white paint, original vinyl on the seats, and looking pretty much complete 8)

Be very careful at the sandblasters place (unless you've done this before of course). Your panels will warp if the guy gets carried away - including your doors, roof, nose section, etc. You will have a HUGE job on your hands with warped panels. Sandblasting - nothing beats it as far as metal prep goes, but best to keep it to the chassis, gutters, seams, rims, etc, etc

Where abouts are you - your profile states "SA" only.

Good luck with the restoration man

The original paint was Yellow, she had a respray sometime in her life.

I have heard about the warping of panels and checked out soda blasting but it is pretty expensive ( R 9 500 + VAT) compared to sandblasting.

i have chatted to a reputable restorer and he is confident in his sandblaster.

If your sandblaster c*cks it up, you'll be in for a lot more than 9,5 + VAT.

Sandblasting is hugely abrasive and highly risky.

Media blasting...or stripping by hand.

I've heard good stories about walnut shell blasting and ice blasting...

Chemical dipping, if available, also (more often than not) has severe implications.
