Cool so now that the beetle is rocking it , thanks to Pierre and Johan at vedubtech @bugger and the loss of my potential crew cab. , the Ghia gets going.

Basic story has all provenance including service manuals from original owner . She is clean and a one year production model, with all appropriate trim. Silver dash trim, unique 66 mirror , 66 correct steel rims caps and trim rings . Ball joint front suspension with drum brakes upfront .66 was the year of the 1300 Ghia and the only year it was produced as such.

So what am I gonna do, simple back to stock, and only period correct accessories which will include original sprint stars , rear luggage rack.

This weekend I rebuilt the carb, purchased all new special rubbers and ordered the window and door rubbers.

This morning she left for a little electrical tlc, then rims, paint back to ivory white with the 66 factory optional extra black roof. Then it's new hood lining and carpets , am trying to keep seats original as they are in perfect condition !

Thanks guys @tonyz might call on u to do some fancy head work for her as a a 1300 she ain't too powerful, then add a decent pipe I have one of those 2 tip 4 into 1 jobs. She will need all the bolt on bits to make her go better

Ok she's back all electrical sorted and had a service too. Goes well one snag need a door striker rebuild kit @dalooker can u get them

Removed door strikers they're poked. Cleaned and polished strikers waiting for parts arghhhh

Oh yah collected full rubber kit from pro auto rubber 1400 bucks for front and rear screens quarter panel windows doors engine to body and firewall to engine. Window scraper look vey generic will get new import inner and purer scrapers good value I think
