Thats one of the later models, being an DKW - Auto union 3=6

The "4" rings give it away, this was taken over by Audi, when the 4 car brands where amalgamated.

On 25 April 1910 the Audi Automobilwerke GmbH Zwickau (from 1915 on Audiwerke AG Zwickau) was entered in the company's register of Zwickau registration court.

In 1932, Audi AG merged with Horch, DKW, and Wanderer, to form Auto Union AG, and then NSU

The founder was August Horch (1868–1951)

"Horch", meaning "listen" in German, and when translated to Latin would be "Audi" thats where they got the name.

Getting back to the DKW Panel Van.....as well as the very fast DKW cars.......

3=6 was their way of saying that the 3 cylinder 2 stroke had the same power as a 6 cylinder engine.

This was good advertising, by got them in hot water with the racing laws, which duly classed them as 6 cylinder engines, and that was their end of racing victory's.

Just some info...

I haven't seen it, but, as Herman says, that's a DKW Schnell-laster.
