I have never seen an odometer like that what model beetle is this? it looks cool. Just wondering about the roofrack

Following the Samba link and some quick googling I discovered this. wow imagine the stories that this odometer could tell. it would be awesome to know if it was used in one of these cars.

The Beetle was part of a display put together by a German Moth group of friends, judging some of the other WW1 and WW2 stuff I've seen them display I doubt it though. These guys trade in the war memorabilia all over the world so chances of it being origional are good.
Will get a few quality photos of the beetle when it comes out of hiding again.
