Now to decide on engine...
current 1.6 twinport sadly ended with serious bearing knock

Nice beach buggy, also lost a motor last week due to bearing knock. I am considiring changing to a Golf motor, after getting prices for a block etc I am changing to WC golf motor. Sorry but paying 8k just for a new block is redicules.

Im sitting with the exact same problem. I have already got my new golf motor,
now where can i get the adapter plate & f/wheel from? An average price would also help.
Pls keep in mind that im from Mozambique but i do pass your area often going to Klerksdorp.

Hey Roly , i am still doing my home work on that i know the adaptor is easy to get, still trying to find out what to do with the flywheel. I know there is a member here on the forum that runs Golf engines, i hope he can shed some light on the subject for us!

but was it ME,

I would fit a bad ass Type 4 into it, after all,

a buggy is meant to be Aircooled.
