My new 72 c/o Bay Window Bus
Hi Volks
Just wanted to post some pics of my new bus. Like the title says, its a 72 cross over Early Bay.
Im real chuffed with it and the deal Christo and I did to both get what we wanted. We did a part swap deal and lets just say that Im on the lookout for another Trek-Bar Westy trailer again.
She has a few areas that need to be taken care of,nothing serious like the problems I have on reliable Gus, my EMPI bus.
Last week we dropped in my 1600 TP engine, with some Weber 36 IDF's, nice valve covers, serpentine belt system, new 36HP shroud and alternator. Still to be fitted is my MSD dizzy and MSD 6AL control box and MSD Blaster 2 coil... overkill for sure, but I just like the way it looks. Still need to change to an electronic gas pump, so that the MSD Dizzy will clear.
Also fitted a new EMPI 4 tip GT Exhaust from FFR as this was the only one that cleared the engine hanger bar and rear valance.
We started it up last week and it sounds amazing. Nice deep burble at idle, and deep voice when revved up. Also, she goes like the clappers for a otherwise stock motor. Cant wait to fit the rear bumper again and take her home today....
Just looking for early bay surround engine plate from bottom pulley to around over the heads... if anyone can help, please let me know?

Re: My new 72 c/o Bay Window Bus
Muds looking good, what would you say it will cost to get a motor to the upgrade your one is.not to devalge what it cost you but in general. ie 20 to 30k or 30 to 40k. How does it effect the reliability.
