Here we go, a build thread on my '73 1303 SUPER Beetle Sedan, I warn you guys beforehand, this is going to be slow, as money and time are both a bit scarce..
These following pics are from when I did the disk brake conversion in the front, renewed and replaced the back drums, new wheel bearings all round, I had the master cylinder sleeved with a stainless steel sleeve as I couldn't find a new M/C for a right hand drive SUPER, did all new steel sections on the brake line as well as the flexible lines, I also fitted new CV joints at the back and new hand brake cables.

Here's the start of everything - http://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za/viewtopi ... 06#p265406

Thanks guys..
It's taking time, but when I have time & money, I do things proper, I'm not gonna be skimping on anything..
I got some prices together from Topline and to rebuild & lower my front suspension will cost me between R8000 and R10000 depending on exchange rate & import taxes..

yep Riaanj everything costs an arm and a leg got to plan
in advance and not spent all at once .
Seen a thread on the samba site about lowering the
front on the 1303 using golf 1 shock inserts and honda
springs on the 1303 struts .
Might have bookmarked the page will have a look
and put up the link.
Looking for some 15'' mags for the gt .something that will
look cool .also want to lower the golf.i've got cabrio
front and rear springs they are 20 mm shorter .dont
know if they will make a difference .
