Sad, but quite fixable.
If YOU have insurance why the Hell are YOU paying?

Is the engine Police-clearanced?
That's absolute BS....tell them to FO.
What do people with old engines do?
I've never heard of rubbish like that.

The F*ckers all value my Fleetline at around 8k...if only they had a clue.
I'm hoping to buy an alternate means of transport soon, so the driven vehicles will go onto vintage insurance soon.

Sorry to hear about that Jay
Doesn't look beyond repair though - some advice: get it fixed ASAP, before you lose interest. It is CERTAINLY fixable!
Bestaluck!

3rd party is the way for a daily.
You risk getting nothing, but for me, it's not my only car.
It would be a loss, but I'm not about to pay more in a year for insurance than what they'll value it at.
I'm now looking at vintage insurance with a 5,000 km cap per year.
I don't do very much, and drive alternate vehicles quite often.
If my new ride materializes, the VWs will be weekend vehicles.
