i don't know anything about beach buggy's what is that shape called ?
does it come standard with the window in front ?
it's a great looking bug ! any one have one like that for sale perhaps ?

That is the Kestrel buggy, actually one of the more common body shapes in SA - was available in LWB, SWB buggy and 'pick up', very popular because it has optional doors and can be made 100% weatherproof.









Also used by the AA in the 70's/80's as support vehicles



This one is at the AutoPavillion Museum in Uitenhage, but with wrong windscreen

The Kestrel is a shape of buggy unique to South Africa. It has the rear passenger 'seats' moulded into the back. Only problem I have with it is that the body is all in one piece - if you have a problem with the fuel tank sender unit, for example, you will need to remove the entire body from the chassis to be able to reach it. Special brackets need to be made to support the fuel tank as well.
