Thanks guys,

I've had the 57 for 17 years. It is in the family since new. Only 83 000 miles with full records. The story is told on another tread. It is completely original except for paint. It was the first car sold by Lindsey Saker Krugersdorp in Feb 1957.

The yellow one is in my possesion for five years. It is a quite special bug. It is the only year when VWSA brought out a beetle and Karmann Ghia with disk brakes in the front. That is why they had four hole sloted rims. It was also the last year VWSA made their cars 6 Volt. Since 1968 the cars changed to 12 Volt. It is also the last year with sloped headlights.

The green 1975 is one of the first S models sold on 28 June 1975 by Lindsey Saker in Krugersdorp. The car is in complete original condition with only 22 000 km. It runs beautifully and can be enjoyed everyday. The seats, carpets, doorcards, and everything else is like it left the showroom floor. Nothing has ever been disturbed. Not even a radio was fitted. It still drives like a "new" car. It even has the original VW emblem exhaust.

This is only part of my VW passion. The other ones are stored in another location close by but to get all of them together for a photoshoot, will take some planning and space.

Hi Charl,

The 57 is still part of my collection, but I sold both the 67 and 75. Both the cars are cared for by miticulous owners. The 67 was completely restored and a heap of money was spent on it.

The 75 is in very good hands and are driven quite often.

The money that I got for the 2 helped partly to finance a project described in detail in the "Projects" page. It is a 52 Crotch Cooler that is nearly finished.

Thanks for the interest.

Rudi.
