This is my First post and my first beetle.

Absolutely love driving around in it and hope to make a few changes. Very Good runner. Brakes work well although when I got it, it had NO brake fluid in it. I have since filled it up and haven't noticed a difference and the fluid level hasn't changed at all. Possibly needing a Bleed? If so, is there a thread or 'how to' article that can assist me with this?

Also leaking oil. I was told it was less of a mission to keep replacing oil than trying to completely get rid of the leaks???

I'm told this is a code 3 purchased from Beetle buddies a few years back. Please have a look at the paint job. There is a rust spot as big as a 20c piece on the bonnet that I would like to get ride of (how???) and then please see the dismal state of the metal behind the rear bumper. What on earth can I do here???

My goal with this vehicle is to get it reliable and use it as a brand vehicle for a new brand in SA. I am going to polish up the Chrome and i would like to either Wrap the vehicle in Matte Black OR spray it metallic black. I am going to refurb the wheels to. It needs to be done well to uphold the quality image of the brand.

Has anyone ever Wrapped a beetle????
What is the best way to do an exterior spray???
How can I treat the rust by myself and not pay crazy amounts???

What is the verdict of changing out the original air filters for a Chrome/cone air filter??? where can I get there? I have looked everywhere.

Is there anything else that you have noticed?

Welcome to the newbie club. I am also busy fixing up my bug. I saw a post on the forum about the wrapping. I know its a old post. I will ask my friend again about the contact details. Someone that works with him did it recently.

There are a lot of helpful posts, so start reading :P
