I'm a bit car crazy - I've had an intermeccanica 356 replica and currently own a 2001 dodge viper. Really want to get back to spanner twirling so I'm looking for a 356 coupe replica at the moment; though I digress!
I went to cars and coffee this last weekend in Minnesota USA and saw the most amazing car.
In the sea of Porsches was a little (what I thought was a) Porsche Glocker from the 40's.
After being a little staggered by it and slightly envious of whomever managed to afford such an amazing car, I carried on looking at the other automotive pornography assembled.
On my way back past the car I decided to look a little closer. There was an older guy with a Wheels of Italy T shirt talking to a younger guy and while keeping my little 'un as far away from this automotive treasure as possible, I asked what it was (wondering if I was right).
To my shock the guy who answered was the young guy. 'It's a Formula Vee that I converted'.
Wow!
Now I'm still trying to keep an inquisitive 3yr old away from touching it and he says, he can sit in it if you like.
Blown away and trying to keep my boy away I said thanks but no. Being worried about what he might do to this amazing car. I then got dragged away by my boy and only got a picture of it.
I really wanted to know a bit more about this car and tried searching for it on the web and finally came up with this:

Seems like this amazingly talented young guy built it from scratch out of hand formed alloy. You have to look at the thread to understand this guys talent.
