Re: Overhauling South Africa
A little update seems in order. we mounted the body on the chassis and is currently fiddling with all the small bits doors and windows are in
the to do list becomes smaller
we still need to do the upholstery (seats and door panels)
wheels and tyres
side trim and running boards
connect every thing

Who cares how it's done in California?

Lots of clean bits:
started to fit the Fat chick rear apron
Late fuel injected beetles had them and a few sa built ones as well for some obscure reason
The pan also had years of dirt scraped off
we lucked out on this one and found nice adjusters properly welded in
thinking of having these reproduced

Well done Armand,
A definite One of a kind, beetle
You have blended the year parts in so well, that it looks to be factory fitter.
Enjoy the ride,
Herman

Lovely, so many mods but so subtle and clean
So when does the big Type 4 go in there

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.
