Funny, thought that forum was a place to express opinions, have a lively debate,stir a bit.

As it is, this forum is very quiet, I would have thought that some kind of debate would be appreciated. Keep things lively etc.

In before thread lock

Well, there WAS a bit of name-calling(amazing how not seeing a thread makes you forget what it contains & calms things down ) in that last thread & 3/4 of it had nothing to do with the bus for sale.
Sarel, I might have misjudged but in my experience on the forum, posting a new post under general about bitching & moaning only increases the amount of bitching & moaning.

You can see I kept the posts that were related to the bus and it's condition.

Feel free to start a debate(a measured one) in a separate thread under Off-topic.
We,well I don't want things to start devaluing the forum.
We can have a debate without name-calling, we can comment on politics without being racist or running an election campaign, we can have a seatcovers section without being sexually deviant, we can comment on for sale ads without being slated if we don't buy the item, but be reasonable.

Let it be known that, with my previous history of getting threads locked, I had no hand in this. And may I just add that I have been usurped by someone or a few people who made the head admin edit and remove threads! Just sayin

Don't know why it took you guys so long to figure out it was Eben... everytime I was reading one of the threads, Eben was there too, and within minutes it was either locked or deleted. We all know he has a pathelogical hatred of the exporter debate and he is of course entitled to his position.

Unfortunately the debate will come up often, with new people joining and/or inflamatory one-liners to start it off, whether posted in innocence or ignorance. Unfortunately, the original "NEED" debate thread has been removed too, if it had not been, we could have told the peeps to go and read/post over there.

I also think there should be guidelines for the moderators and the administrator, in fact, I thought there were. Currently power is being wielded over the rest of us plebs randomly, and without reason or explanation. (some explanation given in this thread, no reason though)

Just my 2c... I'm discussing a very sensitive issue here, I hope I have put my point across gently enough so as not to hack anyone off...

I don't know actually. I normally don't delete posts(unless spammers), I move them to the "invisible forum", in which case the post count remains.

Any forum is just like life, we experience the same ups and downs. Every person needs to vent once in a while (we not talking about poison pill members here, they should be banned). That was my reason for creating a new thread, pretty much as you have done here, for people to vent, me being number one!

As many others on the forum said, here I agree fully with Fig, members for sale is different as to posting for sale from elsewhere. Allow dialogue to happen, if a moderator don't agree, tuff , it doesn't belong to you, if the OP objects, then he can say so and people will stop hijacking. If things get personal, you do get immature people yes, then respond and lock, or get the poster to edit or delete. I have on occasion sent other members PMs to say their posts were in bad taste or uncalled for, they normally respond by edit or taking it down, still their option.

What I type belongs to me, I am responsible for that and the consequences, always. Nobody else controls my thoughts or collectively the forums, it is what is is, live with it.

Hahahahaha I was wandering about what happened to the threads. And I agree with Eben,....if people want to fight an argue,go find a rugby player and beam him in the face,...then talk your way out of of it,if you want to discuss your opinions and feeling,call Reedie on 702,or phone Noleen from 3talk,....they will be more than happy to listen to the shit that makes you upset. Lets try keep this forum a friendly,inviting meeting place where friends can get together and catch up,and talk shit,nothing that gets our panties in an bunch,because that is counter productive.

Although,I will invite you,if you think im a chop,to pm me,and we can discuss what you think of me,....in an immature,childish fassion,with lots of name calling,and ultimately ending in,.....THE SILENT TREATMENT!
