This Magirus fire truck was driven down from Europe:

1901 Benz:
It was being towed there by a beach-buggy. The owner says that he has already towed that car/ trailer thousands of kilos with that buggy.

The Benz's engine:

18something Benz tricycle: (Apparently a replica of first Benz ever):

Benz tricycle's engine: (Note horizontal flywheel):

This Benz was not on display. It was inside a large van that arrived to pick up the oldest Benz tricycle. The owner of the 1901 Benz ran to the van in excitement to have a look, as the car inside is also older than his 1901. So i took a photo through the door:

Some later Merc:

DKW's:

DKW engine: no distributor, no waterpump, no oilpump, no valves, radiator lives at firewall side of engine. So no heater core needed. Hot air for interior comes from radiator. Thermosyphon cooling system. The hotter the water gets, the faster it circulates, like a solar geyser. (Seems the owner lost his middle plug's connector on the way):

Some ancient British car:

Something American:

And That's all for now, bye!

It was a super show with loads od cars, LOADS of SEXY SEATCOVERS :flash:
Not that well organised, they can learn a lot form the Whales & Wheels Festival and the George Old Car Show! Gate marshals were turning people away that had come from George and far away places as well as half the mini club (not that that really mattered, who wants to see a mini anyway...hehehehe)

Great day with beautiful sunshine.....

Those Magirus fire trucks run well .. :D :D  and they can do 130km/h+ on a straight level road, with 2000 litres of water, 6 firefighters and all their gear.

That '49 Ford belongs to a friend of mine. He is a tattoo artist and owns Wildfire tattoos.
He also has a rat-rod that was built for him.
The last 2 tattoo conventions that happened in Cape town, I designed t-shirts for him.
This is the t-shirt i designed for the last convention, just after he got the Ford.
