Hi all.

If anyone has any contacts or a reliable bodywork guy in Bellville/Parow area that would be great.
It would be also nice to know what the cost woudl be to have teh body redone. Colour suggestions are welcome.

The look i like is something like this.

A '66 is a nice year with the one year only dashboard (the chrome beading) Does it have a red steering wheel by any chance?

The dash has black lining of some sort which has been done with the black interior. All in all its ok adn will leave this as is for now.
Its also got a black VW steering wheel, Not original from teh 66KG but from a later KG i believe

I seenow after posting. Yes, it could be teh original black dashboard adn looks original IMO.
So yes you could be right but no RED steering.

Bought this from a guy who owned it since 1996 or something like that

The reason why I asked about the steering wheel, was in 1966 there were some Ghias and type III's with pigalle interiors like this one: they are considered pretty rare.

OK

Car delivered to some recommended guys out in the Northern Suburbs.
Colour will be Silver. As told its a more forgiving colour for floors. Will miss the 2 tone effect though that makes it more classic.

Complete and all rubber kits ordered from http://www.karmannghia.com/

Will keep you posted.

Comments/ideas appreciated.
