Bit of progress on the old girl. Decided to give it a go at the interior. So far so good, might not be 100% but seems ok.
Firstly got some felt from the place in Maitland. The felt is horrible, its very flaky/breaky if I can call it that.
Also bought some adhesive spray from the local hardware store. This had a nice nozzle that didnt make to much of an overspray mess and was quite easy to control where the glue went. But the glue was no good.
The material is a sort of hesian material. I was hoping for something with a bit more stretch and more heavy duty. If you spray too much glue on it goes straight through the material and leaves a mark. I did the rear window and a day later I was not happy with the end result. I pulled of everything, cleaned up the felt off the body and started again.
Luckily I had a big enough piece of extra felt that I forgot about. This felt is a lot more solid and does not fluff apart. Also bought the alcolin spray. The nozzle is like a normal spray can, it goes everywhere. But it sticks ! Redid the rear section and its loads better. Started with the roof but could only go halfway as Im waiting for the vinyl.

Did the door cards. I was running out of staples and this is the result. The line with less staples is clearly more wavy than the top panel
Still need to fit the armrests and the trim. Carpets are 95% trimmed and almost ready to get the edging done.
Im after 2 of the coat hooks, if anyone has please let me know.

Howzit Donovan,
Coming on nicely bud. Are you leaving the carpets like that? Or do you intend to still edge them off? Will help to keep them neat and clean edged.

Please post a pic of the hook.
Had the carpets overlocked and they are almost in and done.
The carpet piece against the front 'firewall' and over the tunnel is held in place with velcro and can be easily removed.
I did mess up on a few places, around the gearlever is one spot but sort of fixed it by adding more if the vinyl around the base of gearlever.
Its an easy job, just time consuming trimming the carpet to have a nice fit.
