Some custom metal work in JHB...

Hi all,

I'm keen to have the engine bay on my bud' modded...

I want to have the sides cut, tidied and flanges welded on resulting in removeable panels for my to get my plugs.

The current situation is dire due to the dual carbs in there...

Has anyone here done before? What's involved? Cost?

Thanks, Nic

Nic, its actually a verry simple mod that you can do yourself.

Go look under "how to" in hookys and also under "Miscellaneous" in "pannels".

Hope this helps  :D

Hey Shane,

I've read up on it before, but I'm not a metal man and the thought of cutting my car is >very< daunting, hence my seeking someone with a bit more experience to do it.

Thanks for the links though.

Nic, I cut windows in my engine bay and put them back using good quality hinges. Have a look through my threads - you'll spot one above my oil filter.

Thanks Tony.

I hadn't considered hinging them...

I'll take a look.
