I saw this beauty in bloem the other day, trying to track this guy down for details
I might be mistaken, but I think its a replica because of the slots under the oval window?
Either way, a very good looking example!!

Bloem has a huge number of military enthusiasts, and these guys go all the way - uniforms, vehicles, battlefield re-creations -the works!

Actually a 1964 shell the owner did the body work and we build the rest of the car mechanically as well as the interior.
This car is a daily driver since it was delivered in june 2009,had a original set of 16" tyres imported.
We have just completed a second one.

Somewhere on the forum is a thread where they discuss this car and the kubelwagen that the guy built... I would have thought Pine would have been on this like a hobo on a hotdog...

Ron, its not the same owner. Danie hand built the Kubel replica from plans on the internet.
This bug is from the group that also have a 181 dressed to look like a kubel. Volksieshop regularly services and does work for these guys. Second Bug in brown is now finished.

Not quite, as explained in the thread below, the dimensions of a scale model were taken and then mulitplied to 1:1 for the Kubel design
