1974 Kombi 2l near Cape Town

Post by jolas »

After ending a cellphone chat with Fig yesterday (Valiant related  ), I pulled into a small town outside of Cape Town and was pleasantly surprised to see this '74 bus. The cherry on top was watching the whole family in action preparing for the trip home, baby, grandparents, mom and dad. Brought back fond memories. The bus still belongs to "Mom", but "daughter" hopes that it will be hers one day, "not for sale" she insisted, as she steered it back towards Cape Town with everyone waving goodbye :hangloose:

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.
