This is a bit of a sad story. Following up on a rumour of an 'abandoned buggy' at a warehouse near Jhb CBD, I found this yesterday. The story is that the buggy was built new here in SA 15 years ago, specifically with LHD to be taken to a holiday home in Portugal. Due to some licensing issue it was never registered and ended up outside, where it has been standing for a very long time. Complete, but some sun damage to the fibreglass, and the engine is not turning. Might come up for sale some time, but it will indeed take some serious effort and cash to get it back to what is was again..
I wasn't able to identify the body type, but it appears to be the same as this one I photographed about 10 years ago at UOVS Campus...
Very similar to this buggy as well, which was on the cover of a Huisgenoot magazine in 1972

Ja I have a bug that I was going to cut and make a buggy out of with a baja kit on
But after more inspection there is to much rust.

Re: 'Barnfind' Buggy
the pink one and the huisgenoot one looks similar ,but the blue one is different ,see the area of the body between the rollcage and windshield frame, its slopes down towards the dash/front
