buying VW's is so much easier, there is normally plenty of time to make up your mind and the car will still be there for a while.
When i rocked up on saturday there had already been 1 other lotus register member before me and there was one after me. all 3 put in an offer to buy an hour or 2 after viewing. At least with the VW's there is plenty of time to decide and make an offer. What a pity, just keep looking. BUT dam, the lotus guys are fast, not only the cars!

Say more about this blue number - give us the stats on it. Oh, what is the quality like on a Lotus - is it an image one is buying or is it worth the penny?

Re: Buying VW's is so much easier
It is worth every penny. Lotus's are the ultimate drivers car. This was only a 111S. 1.8 Rover engine propels it to 100 from stand still in 6.2 seconds. the 111R is what i had previously, that had the toyota motor, 0 -100 in 5.2 seconds. But straight out speed is not it's strength, it can carry that speed through corners, thats where the money is at. I was hoping for a track day toy but alas, my chances seem slim.
