another road trip....fetching my bus :hangloose:

Cool bus! Does it have the M-code plate on the bulkhead behind the driver's seat? Please share the numbers. Although that engine vent arrangement was commonly seen on Oz buses, I've also seen pics of buses with those vents in Afghanistan and elsewhere in Asia. But RHD means this is most likely an Oz bus.

Cool bus congrats man ! Fig give us some info on why the vents are moved for the Aussie busses I suspect the climate here and there is pretty similar why the change ?

They raised the vents to reduce the amount of dust sucked into the engine compartment. This is a mod that would have been VERY useful in SA.

Back then Gauteng's roads were tarred, so they didnt think it was necessary.... :twisted:

thanks Guys....i love my T5 and i have a passion for my T is it 1? or 2? can we have some clarity regarding this please ?? why does some splitties have a vin that starts with a 1 and others with a 2 ??

What busses are these now, the '67 is the Aussie bus, and these 2 ? And the one in the background there ? :twisted:

you are supposed to focus on the vin no. issue...not the background or the colour of the buses or anything else...for now !! :lol:
