Info from the Rorty site, I have e-mailed them on the dimensions they use in the plans, maybe we have to have a look into the below remarks on the plans too.

"Can I build and sell Rorty buggies commercially if I buy the Manual?"Purchasing a Rorty Manual allows you to build one Rorty buggy (either partial or complete). If you want to sell your Rorty buggy, that is entirely up to you. If, after you build one, and you want to build more, you are required to either purchase another Rorty Manual for each and every one you build (either partial or complete), or you can apply for a builder's discount licence.

"Can I sell or pass on my Rorty Manual to someone else after I've built my own?"Absolutely not! After you've built your Rorty buggy from your Manual, another Rorty buggy cannot be built from those plans.
Each additional buggy requires the purchase of another Rorty Manual, complete with its unique serial number.
Build support will only be available to the original purchaser with their unique serial number.

He-he like I said it looks like it's gonna be a typical SA transaction,
Buy 6 & get one free or is it buy one get lot's free?

I think the only reason that you can build only 1 car from each plan is because when it comes to registering a kit car, you need the serial number(like a vin or something) and cant register 2 cars or even 10 with the same serial number? but there should be an easy way around this?
How do the GT40 and cobra guys go about this?

Ja that could be cause for concern? Especially if it need's to be a roadworthy vehicle, not so much if it's a track vehicle.
Rorty has come back to me, they will sell 10 set's to one destination for 750 Aus$, so 75 each if we are ten.

O yes, the plans are standard metric,

I see we are only 7 interested parties so far, we need 3 more :hangloose:

The business of buying more than one manual seems like a neat little scam to me. A bit like Micro$oft insisting on a separate copy of Windoze for each pc in your house. (Does anybody actually do this?)

The serial number given with the manual is irrelevant in this country as a new chassis number is issued to newly built vehicles, and the vehicles will all go through the same process of testing and police clearancing irrespective of the serial number on the plans.

They suggest that support will only be provided to the original buyer of the plans - let one person buy a set and let that person be the go-between if there are any queries. But, unless the plans are completely :bn: then there shouldn't be many queries. Just my 10c worth :)

I get the general feeling and understand the concerns, put down your name should you need an original set, and we'll take it from there.

Considering the time spent discussing the Aus$25 difference, it would've been cheaper just to pay the $100.
