61 Bug - Donor Car

Post by vintage »

Hello Again,

I promise i was not looking for another bug but during a site visit in Ermelo i saw this in the front garden. Ask the owner about the bug and he practically gave me the car. Enjoy and cheers. Vintage.

God i need storage urgently..............................

I am starting to dislike you!
Congrats, nice FREE find. Now find me a 51 split window, that should make up for it.

Nice! That's a restoration candidate, not a donor car!

The Bug was in a little accident on the drivers door an front fender. R these doors freely available.

Also noticed that no semaphores? Do the tail lights also act as indicators. Cheers. Vintage.

You're looking for a door 59-64. Not freely available but not impossible to find.

Yes, the brake lights flash for indicators.

Fig, aren't the rear lights from a earlier beetle? Drivers door available at volksiewrorld in cape town, I know because I took the quarterlight for Bobbie.

Nice car by the way

I wondered that myself; I thought those lights only went up to the 60 model year, but they may have continued into 61.

There was a model that worked the same as the kombi the American way. About 60/61 model.
