CI Camper

I've just bought a 1980 Ci Camper T3 Kombi with 33000km's on the clock! 2.0 type 4 aircooled! Maybe the lowest mileage aircooled here? It has mismatched rims for some reason so I'm looking for either 2 14" steel rims and hubcaps as originally fitted to the T3's or 2 14" bullet hole alloys.

Cheers
Ian

Completely original. There is some light surface rust and a small ding in the front panel but the rest is completely straight and all original paint. Interior is like new. Doesn't look as if the cooker or sink has ever been used. Cooker still has its' safety tag. Shagedelic baby!

Beautiful bus Ian. Now get Stuart to do a Syncro conversion on it! Then it'll be a lot of fun too. :hangloose:

BTW, I don't know in how big a hurry you are, but I'm changing my wheels on my Bay in the not too distant future to 15". I have original 14" late bay wheels on it at the moment.

A Syncro conversion is actually pretty straight forward if you have the parts. Syncro Gearbox fits using the existing mountings. Rear suspension remains the same with different springs and shocks. The front suspension, diff and subframe from the syncro bolts straight in. Then there is the prop and vacuum reservior for the difflocks. An original Syncro also has some body strengthening and bracing in certain areas but that can also be done if one wants.

Thanks Ian, food for thought. I'd need a few more mods to get it all to work in my stretch but I'll start saving...

I'm sure most of you know the Syncro prototypes were based on the T2 busses. The meanest looking Bays ever!
