Hi,
This is my ride as I first saw it, and fell in love with it immediately. I paid R 5000 for it. Was it worth it?

If you have the papers and the tax is up to date then I would say yes.

But that's OK, with the money you saved, you can convert back when you start the full Project thread

That's it. I am fed up. Gatvol finish en klaar! No more aircooleds for me. Its impossible to do a project with virtually no budget. I will be putting all my planned projects and spares up for sale in the parts section shortly. This will include the bay,a 74 beetle (rustbucket) body and two type 1 engines!

Dude, how were you expecting to "do a project with virtually no budget", l mean, how were you gonna fix the car with no manyanas? Body filler, sand paper and sunscreen cost a few Krugers you know.

Chin'up though boet. A hot honey flovoured red drink, watch 1 sunset and hear 4 different birdsounds from the distance, then go back to drawing board, workout a budget and get fingers dirty.

LOL...suck it up dude, mine stood for close to 3years after feeling just the same!
Just go back and llok at all the pics you collected over the years and you`ll feel inspired again, even with no budget. Atleast you got the single most important part of the project

Thanks guys :) I re-considered. Just have to get my ducks in line.First finish the son's beetle, then my 84 double cab(90% complete) and then tackle the bay. The rest can stay for spares. Don't think I am gonna use the beetle engines though! All the non acvw projects can go on the back burner until I am on pension or maybe will get sold for scrap!
