Agree with Eben.
Are'nt those cars banned here in SA. I have heard the only way to bring them in is trough neighbouring states. But you won't get them licenced.

No, not banned. You can get GTR's here, seen tons of them. if you can get one here then you should be able to get a Nismo GTR here as well in theory.
there is no chance it is true, south african metro idiots dont know how to drive anyway. why get a nismo at twice the price when a standard GTR will hunt down almost any car in SA anyway?

A salesperson at Nissan Sandton crashed a Skyline GT-R few weeks ago in Houghton, he was on a test drive and flogging it and could not handle her, crashed in the power sub station...car is wrecked....pics were all over papers....JamesD69 wrote:No, not banned. Skylines have only recently been homoligated due to the new ones arriving on our shores at dealers. The one on the road, i.e. R32 and R33's have all got neighbouring states registration. Now they are coming over onto Enatis slowly (expensive exercise - Have mates with both the R32 and R33 in the process)

This reminds me. My wife saw on the news (Yahoo. And no, not on the 1st of April) that a guy went to try out a Veron as he wanted t obuy it €600 000-00 worth of Carbon Fiber Monocoque.... Only to crash it!!!
The garage's insurance had to pick up the bill...... a cool €300 00-00 repair
