Weber air filter adapters

Post by Pine »

Got two of these Weber air filter adapters available, brand new @ R 100 each - it allows you to fit a round air filter to a DCD carb. Postage will be around R 25 for an insured parcel to any SA address, regardless if you take one or both

I have a Weber 36DCD18 carb. on my Split bus. I would ideally like to use the standard bus air filter and connecting pipe (see http://www.eisparts.com/211129615E.html) instead of the home made unit I currently use.

My question is "Is the diameter for the filter the same as the Solex 34PICT carb.?"

If so, can I please have one. :D

I had more or less the same idea, but unfortunately the outside diameter of the the filter adapters (round part) are considerably larger than that of a Solex carburettor

go to a gasket and rubber shop and ask them to make you a rubber fitting that works as an adaptor.
One side has a hole the same size as the bus filter, other side have a bigger hole for the DCD

Hi Pine

Do you still have the adapters for sale? If so I'll take one.

Thanks
