Who can do rubber reproduction?

Hi,
I want to get my original Fleetline cab mat reproduced...
If someone has one in better condition than mine, and has an original Kombi rear mat, and would be interested in loaning them out for copying, please drop me a PM.
I've emailed Pro Auto Rubber, but despite a confirmation email, got nothing else back.
Another ZA company who doesn't like business...
Who can do this sort of work?
Thanks, Nic

Try going to Pro Rubber - Boksburg - generally quite helpful.
I've been trying to phone Goldwagen for a new coil for two days now to no avail so understand the frustration.
Pro Rubber will cut a mat for you - they did one for my pick-up - best R600 spent !

Thanks. I may have to take it there and harass them...
I don't want a mat cut from stock sheets, I want the original one reproduced. There are tears and worn sections that will need to be 'built', but it should be OK.
Thanks, Nic

Where is GW Midrand located? Is it the one on Old Jhb Rd next to the Ben Schoeman. (Rooihuiskraal area)?

Nic, I'd be interested to hear what your budget is for this, and/or the estimated demand. It sounds like a relatively simple thing to do in a castable polyurethane, but mould costs will hurt!

Well Barry
Here is another potential customer fwiw. Let us know what kind of costs we would be looking at?

Also interested! But at what cost?

Depends on the size of the mat & exactly how much work needs to be done to get it ready to pull a mould.
I'm guessing between R3K&R5K for mould costs, thereafter probably R400-R600 per mat.....

I would take 2 or 3 if those were the costs. Lets see how far this goes. Keep me in mind, please.

it amazes me how Barry gives advise yet others assume he will make it for them...
whats wrong with doing the legwork yourself and selling it to others instead of waiting for someone else to do it for you

Maybe people thought the Metal master was insinuating that he would possibly look into it, seeing as he does have tools and a workshop, most others have a desk, pc and coffee machine at their disposal.

Yes, I dont think he will mind making you some
metal mats!!!! The tools in his workshop cant shape rubber!!!!! (or maybe it can push-comes-to-shove

)
All that is needed is a CLEAN and untorn/damaged mat to start with (saying that, is this mat flat?), and some products.... And the price of these products will determine the cost of the SELLING PRICE of the final mat.... Because remember, the more interest in buying, the more items you have to spread your R&D costs over! Makes sense?

Hey guys,
Zero: The mat is flat. It is cut to fit around the pedals, gearlever, etc.
I haven't been able to ascertain whether or not the rear mat is correct, but I have a mat sitting in my crewcab that may in fact be a Fleetline rear...
I don't really have a budget for this. It's something that I want to get done before the mat gets to a fatal state. I have a small carpet on top of the rubber mat for when I drive.
If someone else has a better condition mat, it would obviously make more sense to use that one...
I don't want another mat cut from similiar material - I want the mats to be reproduced as if they were factory - the correct moulding top and bottom.
My Fleetlines are very original and I want to keep them that way for me. If I worried about what I've spent on my cars, I wouldn't have stuck with this hobby.

I do it for me.
Cheers, N.
