I almost bought a 924 once. It had stood for 10 years but in a garage. I was very tempted but I didn't have another car and it was LHD during the nonsense period. They're lovely cars and parts are a lot cheaper than other Porsches.
Life begins at 80 and ends shortly after in a temporary court on the side of the road.

It was dark blue (I think, memory a bit fuzzy) in Durban. Was in nice cond. If it came with a scooter so i'd be mobile I might have taken it.

Could you fit a 1303 beetle body onto the chassis of the 924 without too much work ?
That would be a GERMAN looker/sleeper of note!!

I had a look at this car on Saturday when I went to go and pick up my Porsche seats from James (thanks :hangloose: ).

Would make an awesome toy or even a daily driver, just minor niggles to sort out 8)

Waaaaay cooler than a Volkswagen Golf

It went to the Guys from webuycars.co.za. I really needed the garage space ASAP and private sales are really slow at the moment :( Its heart breaking to watch your car get driven away :( really really heart breaking. when you have spent so much time on something :( Its like losing a Girlfriend, one that you actually liked...

Blitz, this is my 924 thread, the new toy doesn't belong here...only arrives on wednesday anyway...
