Hi guys


im new on the forum ive bought my first bug its a 65 1300. ive fit a new solex 31-34 aswell as a new electronic dizzy.

but the throttle cable keeps getting stuck at a quarter open position.

also my loom seems everyone has cut and joined and added around 50million wires...

the drums ive discored is warped so need new ones...

what should i look for...in problems...?

also the generator charge light keeps flicking on and off when im driving as soon as i free the engine like downhill...the the light flicks less frequent. when i turn the lights on it also flicks less but the driving and dash lights flick the same time as the charge light....any advise guys?

Have you got the tube that goes through the airbox where the accelerator cable runs through?

Drums are available from most brake and clutch specialists.

Look for rust on the pan under the battery,in the doors,under the rear window and in the sparewheel hold.

Make sure that the wires you have in there are all insulated and get rid of clutter.If possible,start repacing joined wires.

It's a daily thing and you need to keep your hands on it .

There isnt an airbox it has a cone filter now... but i saw like a tube type thing coming through the fan housing... i bought a new cable from volkspares... im wonder hou hectic it is to replace?
