She's a 1961 with her original 1200 engine
I’m the third owner, my mother was the second owner. Se got the car in the early '70
and she's been in the family ever since. Last year I redid the car,new paint ,new upholstery ,new brakes
and a lot of other new parts

I kinda like the white window rubbers. I've never seen that before... She's nice, hey?

Was your bug always yellow? I remember seeing a yellow bug with white window rubbers in JHB in 1999

No the yellow is the new colour. The white rubbers are also new

The white rubbers were imported.
The rear vents were cut into the deck lid by the first owner, a big difference in running temp!!!

If you guys want different colour rubbers I can go past a place who used to make a few different colours and see if they still got some left or can make

That engine vents look nice, reminds of the Renault Dauphine, as Pine mentioned.
Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).
